The minutes of stillness and disbelief that follow the explosion are embodied into the quote by Kemal Bakarsic who witnessed the bombing of Sarajevo library.
Burning ash from the books carries fragments of pages into the sky. Like a cluster of birds they form shapes. Or possibly a pattern that I saw as a frontispiece of Mamluk Koran (AD1338 / AH738).

Bookartbookshop aniversary competition - a winner - yeppeee!
I have received an award from Bookartbookshop for their tenth aniversary competition. Uh, that probably makes me a "book artist"!

Progress : more risque than a muffin.
As a result of preparation for Brief Permanence I have started experimenting with new ideas to further my work out of the comfort zone. I know that the above piece looks just marginally more risque than a muffin (probably depends of the muffin). However it has precipitated a chute of developments.
